IJmuider Zee- en Havenmuseum in Velsen

You're standing at the start of the fishing harbour in IJmuiden, at the IJmuiden Sea and Harbour Museum. Take a look at the building. This used to be a school for fishermen. When the number of pupils dropped, the school closed and the building stood empty. In the late eighties, people came up with a plan to save it, and it became a museum.
