Huis Barnaart in Haarlem

You're standing on the Nieuwe Gracht in Haarlem, in front of Huis Barnaart. Take in that broad, stately façade. The classical pilasters, flat columns set against the wall, are made of Bentheim sandstone. Above the centre sits a triangular pediment with a round-arched window. Notice the tall double stoop with its elegant railings? And in front of the house, stone posts with chains strung between them.
