You're standing at the Church of San Rocco in Venice. It's dedicated to Saint Roch, the saint people prayed to for protection against the plague. That makes it one of the city's plague churches. It was built between 1489 and 1508 by Bartolomeo Bon the Younger, but it was heavily remodelled in 1725, so much of what you see is later.
