Palazzo Grassi in Venice

You're standing at Palazzo Grassi, right on the Grand Canal, next to the little square of Campo San Samuele and its church. Take a good look at the façade. White marble, clean lines, neat rows of windows. Notice how different it is from its neighbours? Most palaces around here are Byzantine or Baroque. This one is classical, almost severe. It also lacks the wide openings at water level where Venetian merchants used to bring their goods inside.
