Église de la Madeleine in Paris

You're standing at La Madeleine, the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene in the eighth arrondissement of Paris. Does it look more like a Greek temple than a church? You're not wrong. Fifty-two Corinthian columns, each twenty metres tall, run all the way around the building. Not just across the front, but on all four sides. Very few large buildings of its era copy an ancient temple this completely.
