Champs Élysées in Paris

You're standing on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, often called the most beautiful avenue in the world. Look west and you'll see the Arc de Triomphe on the square at the top. Look east and the avenue runs dead straight to the Place de la Concorde, with the Luxor Obelisk. That line is part of the historic axis of Paris, which carries on to the Louvre in one direction and the Grande Arche at La Défense in the other.
