You're standing in front of a pair of huge bronze boots on a tall pedestal, here in Budapest's Statue Park. Take a good look, because those boots tell quite a story. They're part of a recreation of the Stalin Monument, which once stood on the edge of Városliget, the city park. Sculptor Ákos Eleőd built this life-sized version in 2006. It isn't an exact copy, more of an artistic echo.
