You're standing at the Ta' Ħaġrat temples, on the eastern edge of the village of Mġarr. It may look modest, but this is one of the oldest religious sites in the world. The larger temple was built between 3600 and 3200 BC, more than five thousand years ago. That makes it older than the pyramids of Egypt. Together with several other megalithic temples on Malta, it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
