You're standing at San Anton Palace in Attard, the official residence of the President of Malta. Take a look at the building: two storeys, with a tall square tower rising above it. From up there you get panoramic views over the area. That tower used to be even taller. In 1819 it was struck by lightning, and the British cut it down to size afterwards.
