You're standing on Sultanahmet Square in Istanbul, on the site of the old Hippodrome of Constantinople. See that dark, twisted bronze column? Look closely and you'll spot three snakes coiled around each other. This is the Serpent Column, one of the oldest monuments in the city, and it came here all the way from Greece.
