You're standing at the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum, on Sultanahmet Square. Take a look around. Right across from you is the famous Blue Mosque, and close by lay the ancient Hippodrome of Constantinople. The stone building itself is a palace dating from 1524. It belonged to Ibrahim Pasha, grand vizier to Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, and it was said to be the largest private palace in the Ottoman Empire.
