You're standing at the Theatine Church, on Munich's Odeonsplatz. That yellow catches your eye straight away, doesn't it? The warm colour and Mediterranean look have become a well-known symbol of the city. This was the first church north of the Alps built in Italian High Baroque, and it shaped Baroque architecture across southern Germany.
