You're standing at Blutenburg Castle, in the district of Obermenzing on the western edge of Munich. Have a look around. On the west side the River Würm flows past the walls, and on the east side there are ponds, old arms of the same river. That gives the whole place the feel of a little island. Four towers with pointed roofs guard the corners of the main castle. You get in on the north side, through the gate tower from 1430.
