New Town Hall in Munich

You're standing on Marienplatz in Munich, in front of the Neues Rathaus, the New Town Hall. This is where the mayor and city council are based. Take a look at that façade, almost a hundred metres long. It's packed with statues: Henry the Lion and nearly the entire line of the House of Wittelsbach, Bavaria's ruling dynasty. No other German town hall has such a large gallery of rulers on its front. In the middle sits Prince Regent Luitpold on horseback.
