Nationaal Onafhankelijkheidsmonument in The Hague

You're standing on Plein 1813 in The Hague, right in front of the National Monument. First, look all the way up. That's the Dutch Maiden, standing in triumph on top. She celebrates the victory over Napoleon and the end of French rule. In 1813 the Netherlands became independent again, and that was the start of the kingdom the country is today.
