You're standing on the Place du Congrès in Brussels, right at the foot of the Congress Column. Take a look up. This column rises forty-seven metres, and at the very top stands King Leopold I, the first King of the Belgians. That statue alone is almost five metres tall, though from down here he looks rather small.
