You're standing at the Royal Palace of Brussels, on the Place des Palais, across from Brussels Park. First, look up at the central building. Is the flag flying? Then the King is in the country. And if there's a guard of honour out front, he's inside the palace itself. He doesn't actually live here, though. The royal family lives at Laeken. This is the working palace, where the King grants audiences and holds big receptions.
