You're standing at the Castle of Rhoon, right in the old village centre of Rhoon. The village church and the Huis te Pendrecht are close by, so this is the medieval heart of the place. The castle is a fortified tower house, a keep, dating from 1432. It was built by the Van Duyvelant family, who were the lords of Rhoon at the time.
