Natuurhistorisch Museum Rotterdam

You're standing at the Natural History Museum Rotterdam, on the Westzeedijk, in the Museumpark. The Kunsthal and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen are close by. Take a look at the building. It's really two buildings in one. The old part is Villa Dijkzigt, built in 1852 by J.F. Metzelaar for the Van Hoboken family. Attached to it is a modern glass pavilion, designed in 1995 by architect Erick van Egeraat. Old and new, brick and glass, right next to each other.
