Euromast in Rotterdam

You're standing in Het Park in Rotterdam, at the foot of the Euromast. Look up. At a hundred and eighty-five metres, it's one of the tallest towers in the Netherlands that visitors can go up. Does it remind you of a ship's mast? That's exactly the idea. Architect Huig Maaskant took his inspiration from the mast of a ship, and that's where the name comes from.
