You're standing at the Markthal in Rotterdam. Look at that enormous grey arch, shaped like a horseshoe. It was designed by the architecture firm MVRDV. People actually live inside the arch: it holds 228 apartments. At both ends there's a glass wall, hung in a net of steel cables. At 34 metres high and 42 metres wide, it's the largest cable-net glass facade in Europe.
