You're standing by Havendienst 20, a small harbour vessel just over eighteen metres long. It had an unusual start in life. In 1939 it was laid down as a tug for a private owner, at the Paans Brothers shipyard in Moerdijk. Then the war broke out. According to stories passed down, the yard made sure the boat was never finished during the war. That way it couldn't fall into the wrong hands, and it couldn't be attacked from the air while sailing.
