You're standing by the Amersfoort Boulder, in the little park by the Arnhemsestraat. Take a good look at it. This glacial boulder weighs over seven thousand kilos, stands two metres tall and measures more than five metres around. It's the reason Amersfoort is nicknamed Keistad, Boulder City. And locals are still called Keientrekkers, the boulder pullers. So how did that happen? It's a great story.
