Museum Huis van Hilde in Castricum

You're standing at Huis van Hilde, Hilde's House, in Castricum. It's the archaeology museum of the province of North Holland. Take a look at the building. It's a long pavilion, loosely modelled on medieval farmhouses whose remains were found in North Holland's soil. Parts of it, like the dome, are covered in sand and grass, so it blends in with the dunes behind it. The architect was Fons Verheijen.
