Story · De Schommel

You're standing on Raadhuishof, in the middle of Nijmegen. On an oval patch of grass, behind a steel fence, there's a steel frame four metres tall. Hanging from it on two long chains is an iron seat. A swing. But nobody's swinging. This is a war memorial: The Swing, by the artist Henk Visch.
