Fort aan de Nekkerweg in Purmerend

You're standing at the Fort on the Nekkerweg, also called Fort Beemster, where the Volgerweg and Nekkerweg meet. It's one of the forts of the Defence Line of Amsterdam, the ring of defences around the capital. But these days you'll see bathrobes here rather than soldiers. Since 2012 it has been a wellness resort with saunas, a hotel and a restaurant.
