You're standing on the Ginkel Heath near Ede, at the Airborne monument. Look at the concrete column, three metres tall. On top sits a copper eagle with its wings spread. Walk around the column. On its sides you'll find three emblems: a winged, crowned parachute, the badge of the King's Own Scottish Borderers, a Scottish regiment, and a purple winged horse, Pegasus. The monument was made by the artist Melanie Heuff-von Oven and unveiled on 19 September 1960 by Major General Urquhart.
