You're standing at the Liberation Monument in Ede, on the corner of Arnhemseweg and Vossenakker. Look down first. There's a circle made of different kinds of natural stone, and right in the middle stands a shiny pyramid of stainless steel. The monument isn't very old. It was unveiled on the 3rd of May 1995, exactly fifty years after the municipality of Ede was liberated.
