You're standing at Holmen Church, Holmens Kirke in Danish, on a street called Holmens Kanal in central Copenhagen. That street name is a little memory. A canal used to run right here, until it was filled in during the 1860s. Across the water lay Holmen, the peninsula with the Danish navy's shipyard.
