You're standing at Christiansborg Palace, on the little island of Slotsholmen in the heart of Copenhagen. Almost the entire Danish state lives in this one building. The south wing houses the parliament, the Folketing. The north wing holds the Supreme Court, the Prime Minister's Office and the King's reception rooms. It's the only building in the world that houses all three branches of a country's government. That's why Danes often just call their politics Borgen, the castle.
