You're standing at Arken, a museum of modern and contemporary art in Ishøj, about twenty kilometres outside central Copenhagen. Take a good look at the shape of the building. Arken means 'the Ark', and you can see why straight away. It looks like a ship that's just washed up on the shore of Køge Bay. But it's not a neat, tidy ship. The building is made of separate chunks, slanted angles and curving walls, as if the boat has broken apart. Architects call this style deconstructivism.
