You're standing outside the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, or simply the Thyssen. It's housed in the Villahermosa Palace, built in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century. The architect Rafael Moneo adapted it for its life as a museum. The Prado is close by. Together with the Prado and the Reina Sofía, the Thyssen makes up what's called Madrid's Golden Triangle of Art.
