Hunebed D15 Loon in Assen

You're standing at dolmen D15, on the open fields between the hamlets of Loon and Taarlo, just north of Assen. Take a good look at the stones. This is one of the most complete dolmens in the Netherlands. Of the twenty-three kerb stones that once formed an oval around the grave, eighteen are still here. All ten side and end stones are standing, and four of the five heavy capstones still rest on top. The whole thing is almost ten metres long and over three and a half metres wide.
