Joods Monument in Assen

You're standing at the start of the Oudestraat in Assen, at the Jewish monument. The synagogue stood close by, and before the war many of the town's Jewish residents lived in this neighbourhood. With this monument, Assen remembers the more than five hundred Jewish citizens who were murdered during the Second World War.
