Story · Joods Monument

You're standing opposite Hoogezand-Sappemeer railway station, at the Jewish monument. It was from this very station that the Jewish residents of Hoogezand and Sappemeer were taken away during the war. With this monument, the municipality remembers the Jewish citizens of those two former towns who were murdered in the Second World War.
