You're standing at La Ferrassie, an archaeological site in Savignac-de-Miremont, in France's Dordogne. Take a look at the limestone cliff in front of you. There's a large, deep cave in it, flanked on either side by a rock shelter, an overhang where people could find cover. Below the cliff runs a slope of loose rock and rubble.
