You're standing at Den tilsandede kirke, the Sand-Covered Church, just outside Skagen at the very top of Denmark. Take a look at that white tower among the pine trees. It seems to rise straight from the ground, but it doesn't. A good chunk of it is buried. The tower is a little over twenty-two metres tall, and only about eighteen metres still pokes out above the sand.
