Archaeological site Varna Chalcolithic Necropolis

You're standing at the Varna Necropolis. At first glance there's not much to see: an industrial zone on the western side of the city, a few kilometres from the centre. Take a look at the gently sloping ground on the north side of Lake Varna. Right here was a Copper Age cemetery, and this soil held the oldest worked gold ever found.
