You're standing at the Villa Savoye in Poissy, just outside Paris. Look at that white box that seems to float above the grass. It rests on columns, called pilotis, and the garden carries on underneath the house. Le Corbusier said himself that the house sits on the grass like an object, without disturbing anything.
