You're standing at the Petit Trianon, the small Trianon, in the grounds of Versailles. Take a walk around it. It's square, twenty-three metres on each side, yet no two façades are the same. The side facing the French garden is the grandest, with tall Corinthian columns. The east side, overlooking the king's old botanical garden, was left completely bare.
