Argive Heraion in Municipality of Argos and Mykines

You're standing at the Heraion of Argos, an ancient sanctuary of the goddess Hera. Have a look around first. You're on the low hills at the foot of Mount Euboea, with the fertile Argive Plain spread out below. The city of Argos is just a few miles away, and Mycenae and Tiryns are close by too. Even in Homer, Hera says the three towns she loves best are Argos, Sparta and Mycenae.
