You're standing at the site of ancient Kleonai, a small Greek city-state in the northern Peloponnese. Corinth lies about ten kilometres to the northeast, and the villages of Agios Vasilios and Kontostavlos are close by. Have a look around. This little town sat on the road between Argos and Corinth, in a small plain beside a river running down to the Gulf of Corinth.
