You're standing at the Church of Saint Clement of Ohrid. Locals usually just call it the Soborna Crkva. It's the largest cathedral of the Macedonian Orthodox Church. Take a good look at the shape. There's no tall pointed tower here. Instead you see domes stacked on arches, stacked on more domes. It's a round church, thirty-six by thirty-six metres, built from nothing but domes and arches. That's why it's seen as one of the most striking buildings in recent Macedonian history.
