Belvedere auf dem Pfingstberg in Potsdam

You're standing at the Belvedere on the Pfingstberg, right at the top of a hill in Potsdam, just north of the New Garden. Start with those two towers. They're modelled on the Italian Renaissance. The wings beside them are Roman in style, and some of the finer decoration borrows from ancient Greece. Quite a mix, and entirely on purpose.
