You're standing at Charlottenhof Palace, in the southern part of Sanssouci Park in Potsdam. Don't expect a huge palace. This is a small, bright summer house that looks like a Roman villa. Notice the clean, classical lines. That's the work of Karl Friedrich Schinkel, Prussia's great architect. Look at the shutters too. They're blue and white, most likely a nod to Crown Princess Elisabeth's Bavarian roots.
