You're standing at Mogoșoaia Palace, about ten kilometres outside Bucharest. Take a good look at the building. It went up between 1698 and 1702 for Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu, in a style that now carries his name: the Brâncovenesc style, sometimes called the Romanian Renaissance. Funny thing is, the palace isn't named after him. It's named after the widow of a nobleman called Mogoș, who once owned this land.
