You're standing at Tartu Cathedral, or rather, at what's left of it. Up here on Cathedral Hill you'll see a huge brick ruin. Look at the two massive towers on the west side. They look more like a fortress than a church. They were once sixty-six metres tall. A French traveller who came by in 1726 wrote that they were at least as high as the towers of Notre-Dame in Paris.
