This stage of the Saksenroute (LF14) is a cycle route of about 48 km from Ootmarsum to Enschede, the last stage of the LF14. You ride through Twente via Beuningen and Denekamp to De Lutte and the Lutterzand, past the estates near Oldenzaal and through Lonneker to Enschede, home of the Rijksmuseum Twenthe and De Museumfabriek. There is some climbing, but not much. Almost two thirds is asphalt and a fifth gravel. We know of one toilet and two water taps on the way, but no bike pump. The LF14 starts in Lauwersoog; its name refers to the Saxons who once lived in this region.
