You're standing in front of the Basilica of San Zeno, in the Verona district that shares its name. It's considered one of the masterpieces of medieval architecture. Start with the big round window in the middle of the façade. It's called the Wheel of Fortune. The stonecutter Brioloto made it around 1189. Six little statues on its rim show fate turning. At the top you're riding high, at the bottom you've lost everything.
