Porta Borsari in Verona

You're standing at Porta Borsari, a Roman city gate right in the middle of Verona. Take a good look, because what you're seeing is really a kind of stage set. This white façade was once fixed to the front of a much bigger brick gate. Over the centuries the brick gate disappeared, but its handsome front simply stayed put.
